Announcement for the new cast, is none-other than the man popular amongst youngsters, Akanishi Jin. Challenging this work as his Hollywood debut, he acts the role of "Ooishi Chikara". Being the son of Ooishi Kuranosuke (Sanada Hiroyuki), and also an ally of Kai (character of Keanu Reeves), he challenges a very important role.

Auditioning by himself in Hollywood, Akanishi got the role of "Chikara" with his English forte. Training for sword fighting and horse riding, Akanishi overlays this role with his passionate image, even the Director Carl Rinsch praises "No one can take the role as good as him."

Jin's comment in Nikkan Sports, translation by stanime:

"The work of such an important theme to Japanese people to be brought to Hollywood's big screen, not to mention in 3D, I'm extremely excited. Being able to act together with Keanu and all the amazing casts, and creating a world-wide film with everyone, it gave me the feeling of fulfillment.

From now on I will examine in my own senses, being able to participate in both music and acting borderlessly world-wide, and extend my limits as I go."

JIN IS TO DEBUT IN THE HOLLYWOOD MOVIE 47 RONIN~!

(though i'm not too big of a fan of Hollywood movies these days to be honest)

BUT I"M STILL EXCITED~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

who else is super excited for what they're gonna make Jin do... though havingHollywood know who Jin is now... i'm kinda sad, but it is his dream and we all want people to achieve their dreams. Nothing has been said on his twitter account so any word from Jin i don't know (but he did say he is working on something... not just his album)

maybe now we'll see a bigger progression of Jin in the media (hoping this will make buying his stuff easier) but as a picky fan like myself i have to say i wish he'd do some more rock ish songs like before. He has a great voice for it too~

but just with this i'm happy!!! and since Keano Reeves is in it (spelling his name right i don't know :P) this WILL make it to the bigscreen i'm sure, not like Bandage which was more like a movie in the indie film category (well in the west it is).

i can't wait!!!!

Yes I have finally watched Jin's movie!!

BANDAGE [2010]

It was soo awesome!! I have no words to describe Jin's sexy/badass/hot acting! Omg IMO he's the PERFECT character to potray Natsu, the lead singer of the fictional band LANDS!!

No this is not a review...but just my random thoughts about it...

Yes I admit! I watched this movie just because JIN was in it~ (I missed him ((*T_T)- he's an ex member from the Japanese idol group KATTUN btw if you don't know who he is~raaage YOU DONT KNOW WHO HE IS!!!??? ) ^-^"

The synopsis and review can be read here~! (<-- yes im really proud of myself! LOL i just figured out how to do this -_-;) When I first started watching the movie.. I was like "Pfft what is so interesting about the Japan Music Industry in the 1990's?" and only focused (like a proper fangirl) JIN!


But as I watched and rewatched the movie it pulled me in! Through the trials and different which comes with overnight stardom and being a rookie band~~ Im a total converted fan!! LOL~ yes I also plan on taking a papre on Japanese culture next year! わぁヽ(∇⌒ヽ) I love all the songs from the movie!



They have also got an album called LANDS- Olympos! ♪

My favourite song that is such a soft spot for me is Genki!! Theres two versions which I love to bits!! Kyaaa JIN~! My fav part...
